Sun and Moon Spore Print Artwork made with mushroom spores on mushroom paper

This piece was created with mushroom spores on paper made out of mushrooms. They are not prints or copies, each one is unique.
Everything other than the frame was made, or foraged, by me. I grew the mushrooms for the spore prints myself, the mushrooms used for the paper are turkey tail or reishi mushrooms that I foraged in the wild myself and turned into paper.

Artwork is 8 inches by 10 inches and the frame measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches. It is a very sturdy float frame of great quality, the art piece is floating between two panes of glass. I love this type of frame to showcase these mushroom spore prints. You can really see the dark, rich, blackness of the spores and really see the textures.

Each art piece contains real mushroom spores, these are not prints or copies.
If you choose to change the frame be very careful not to touch the spores.
They are sprayed with a light gloss sealant to keep the spores in place but any firm pressure will disrupt the pattern of the spores.
